LG 55LE5400 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Internet Applications

Great picture, love the size, brightness and clarity. Guests have commented on how bright and nice it looks so many times. Only negative is the sound quality - the internal speakers are not very good but I plan to get some external speakers or a home theater sound system anyway so I am not that concerned.

Toshiba 65UL610U Cinema Series 65-Inch 1080p 480 Hz Local Dimming 3D LED-LCD HDTV with Net TV, Black

I was a bit worried because I had not found one of these TVs at any local retailer. But judging by the specs, I knew it was the one I wanted so I took a chance.Well, it's been here two days and I am just awed. I mounted it on the wall with a new flat mounting system which I also bought to replace the previous one I had. The depth from the wall to the front of the TV, including the bracket and the spacers is one inch! When off, the TV looks like a piece of art. completely black, with an extremely narrow frame around the actual display.Installation, both the physical aspect as well as the connections and software, was all very straightforward. I've been able to test several of the internet apps (Pandora, Yahoo widgets) everything is intuitive and beautiful. Have not yet tried streaming movies but did log in to the various services and confirmed the ability to browse the libraries.I had DVR'ed several episodes of "Human Planet" in HD and was saving them so this TV could do them justice. It certainly does. the colors and resolution are great. There are some fairly advanced capabilities for tuning the color, contrast etc... as well as several presets for different types of contents such as movies, sports, etc... If you don't find the picture pleasing, check if you are in the wrong preset.I had assumed that the sound from a TV this narrow would not be its strong suit. I was wrong. Of course I use external speakers but when testing Pandora, it was easier to let it play through…

LG Infinia 50PZ750 50-Inch 1080p 600 Hz Active 3D THX Certified Plasma HDTV with Smart TV

I did a lot of research before finally deciding on the LG 60PZ750 reading reviews from other websites. The specs on the LG looked good, and it has a lot of extra features for the price. A friend mentioned they paid much more for a 60 inch w/out 3D.Last night I watched my first sporting event in 3D, the NBA finals. I thought I would get tired of wearing the glasses, but they didn't bother me after my eyes adjusted. Basketball in 3D was amazing. A totally different perspective. I only wish they had the same announcers as the ABC broadcast?? 3D isn't for everyday use, but is great for big sporting events and movies. The HD picture is great. I am still tinkering with the settings, but the game in "sport" mode looked great. The TV is very thin, but heavy. Not a big deal, but you will need 2 people to mount it on a wall. I also purchased the wifi usb dongle and it worked great. I haven't watched a movie on netflix yet, so I can't comment on the quality. There are a ton of network features that I will begin to explore when time allows. My only negative comment is the TV issues a warning when you switch to 3D mode, and the only way to turn it off is with the LG TV remote. I use a universal remote that controls Directv and my receiver when "watching TV" so I have to keep the little "wand" remote handy. I am sure I can modify the universal to fix this, or possibly turn off the warnings, but I haven't figured that out yet.

LG 55LK520 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV

I bought this tv at frys. They had a sale so I paid about the same as I would have on amazon. Before this i owned a 50" DLP. I have owned an HD set since before I could get an HD signal. The picture on this set is amazing. This set was made for HD. The level of detail is amazing. I was worried that viewing the set from a distance of about 6 feet would be a problem. Absolutely no problem. Cable can sometimes pixelate but i think that is the result of compression because blue ray does not have the same problem.Anyone who has seen this set seems to make the same comment. They all say "It looks so real it's spooky." Watching Avatar you can easily tell what is CG and what is real. I'm watching Alien as I type. Never got to see the movie in a theatre. All I can say is WOW! Watched it on VHS then on DVD many times over the years. With blu ray on this set it is literally like seeing it again for the first time. Wait until you see the alien pop out of cane's chest! Are there sets as good or better. Maybe but when I saw this one I stopped looking.

Toshiba 47TL515U 47-Inch Natural 3D 1080p 240 Hz LED-LCD HDTV with Net TV, Black

I was on the market for a 3D television for the sake of bluray 3D and xbox 360 video games. Stumbled over this one, and I cant regret my decision. I am not a video guru, but once you calibrate the tv to your preference it will be great. May want to experiment with the different options for the best picture quailty for daytime and nightime viewing. Must I add that when you put the smooth video option on and leave the edge enhancer off (unless u really want to be part of the movie set), one will be astound at how live and real your bluray and/or bluray 3D will be. No wonder this set is described to be having a natural picture. Freaked me out at how great the bluray 3D video is. Cant tell rather its half resolution far as being passive 3D. Everything is crisp as can be. No charging required for glasses that are included. Noticed that it has four slightly lit corners on screen when pitch black, but when content is displayed, it fades down to normal. Using the 3D button to convert 2D is not really convincing, helps a little with the resolution on DVD for some reason, other than that I rather watch it in 2D unless the native content is 3D. Haven't tried 3D games yet, but very confident that it will perform well.Pros: Excellent Video Light up RemoteCons: Speakers are a little under quality Time lag to turn on tv (~22 sec.) TV stand wobbles when touch or bumped

Toshiba 55WX800U 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz Cinema Series 3D LED TV, Black

I have been looking for a new HDTV for more than two years. I have tried VIZIO,LG,SANSUNG and have returned them all until this Toshiba HDTV. The Vizio had blurring on the 551 series which was because the 240hz didn't do anything and eventhought the picture had great blacks it wasn't life like. The LG was a 2008 model and wasn't anything fantastic and the 120hz didn't do anything either. Then just a few weeks ago I tried the Samsung 6400 series LED and the 120hz didn't do anything plus the flashlighting in each of the lower corners of the screen were very distracting. The Internet wouldn't work on the apps and when there were very dark scenes the contrast was very poor so I had trouble seeing peoples clothing. Now to the Toshiba 55 WX800 3DTV. The blacks are really dark the contrast in dark scenes is excellent and there is NO FLASHLIGHTING IN THE CORNERS OF THE SCREEN. If you have a WX800 with flashlighting in the corners then it has been dropped somewhere in shipping. CEVA shipped our TV and they didn't have two persons handling the TV which it says it needs on the box! Luckily my TV doesn't have any issues so it must have not been dropped. Send your back if it has flashlighting in the corners of the screen, it shouldn't! Maybe Amazon should have someone else ship these TVs. I have heard some of these TV are shipped by Plot. I have been using this TV since Thursday 12-23 and have had it on at least 12 hours a day to fully check it out. Today I tried the 3D feature and it worked…

Toshiba 46SL417U 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED-LCD HDTV with Net TV, Black

Television was easy to set up. Had Netflix up and running over wifi in minutes.Picture is clear and crisp, tiny amount of light bleed on pure black screen, but have not noticed it on any of the content I have viewed yet. Has a superb viewing angle.Used built in speakers to test their functionality, they are of average quality. I would say for casual watching they are adequate. I choose to use the digital optical to an amplifier to use the web apps. The built in apps provide great functionality although the webtv application itself seems to not flow very well and has considerable lag while rotating through the list of available applications. The set itself is thin, and as a package I would say it is very aesthetically pleasing. The base feels solid and the on-set buttons are easy to press. I would say the remote, while providing plenty of functionally, it's physical shape seems awkward.I am so far very impressed and glad that I made this purchase. Also, at this price with built in wifi and web applications it feels like a steal.

Toshiba 46UL605U 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz Ultra Thin LED HDTV, Black

Got this TV for about a week. Set up is a breeze although I soon realized an upgrade of my home theater is needed as this TV is quite advanced and only comes with the latest input/output jacks - this makes my 10-year old receiver instantly obsolete so I went out and bought a new one for the TV! Sound quality from TV is mediocre but once I hooked it up with the new receiver, the difference is like day and night and I'm quite satisfied. Picture quality is fantastic - sharp, vivid and clear, far exceeds my old Samsung LCD! The built-in wifi is a great feature so you can access internet without a cable. I got it for a super bargin price of $999 with free shipping so it was an excellent deal.Pros: AMAZING picture quality - sharp, vivid and clear images. Built-in wifi and no need for wired connection. Internet apps. Ultra-slim profile, very thin and beautiful to look at.Cons: Sound quality is mediocre. Must hook up with home theater system or sound bar to enjoy great sound. TV stand is not swivable so viewing angle can not be easily adjusted. Input/output jacks on the side are cheapily made.

Toshiba REGZA 46XV645U 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black

Started my research before Black Friday, hoping to snag a deal on which ever TV that I decided on. Little did I know that comparing HDTV's is much like comparing the old apples and oranges. Reviews are usually mixed, for even the highest priced models. I needed a matte screen, as the TV sits next to a huge picture window (which meant a plasma wouldn't work)and I wanted a headphone jack for my wireless headphones (excellent sound and I can watch my action movies without bothering my wife). I also wanted a brand that I had luck with in the past. Well, I didn't make a decision in time to take advantage of either Thanksgiving or Christmas deals. When I saw Amazon had the bundle deal that included the Blu-ray player for the Regza, which was on my short list, I pulled the trigger...finally!It arrived today. Kind of an ordeal, as I attempted to schedule both the TV delivery and the cable people to switch me to DVR/HD box. I wanted the TV here first so the cable guy could hook it up. It took lots of phone calls but it worked out. CEVA delivered...but almost didn't. I was outside when he drove down my dead end road, backed into my driveway, then drove away as I ran after the truck yelling and waving my arms like an idiot. Did I mention that I have a heart condition and really didn't need to run the 440 in 20 degree weather? Anyway, caught the guy and still don't understand how he missed the house (he had GPS and I have huge address numbers on the house). At the drivers recommendation,…

Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 46XV545U 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

Pros -Picture is outstanding, easily on of the the best 46" out there. Premium LCD screen at a budget price. Color is off out of the box. Factory settings for green are oversaturated, skintones have a green shade to them. You have to adjust the green in (-13,-11,+7)COLOR MASTER, Color Temp (Medium),(-10)G DRIVE to get it under control, took me some effort but I got them just right without paying for professional calibration.(Don't get Best Buy to do it, they have no clue what they are doing). SRT works pretty good, it won't turn SD into HD but it improves the picture. I left my SRT on Mode 3 Level 1(it has 5 levels of SRT processing in 3 modes-15 deifferent settings), most of the people complaining probably have no clue. Too much SRT will make the picture terrible. SRT will be disabled if you have a 1080p/1080i video source. If you have an upconverting DVD player you need to disable it to get SRT to work. Have not observed artifacts in the 120Hz smooth mode like can be seen on the Samsungs.Cons -Don't like the menus on the screen. Don't like the remote. A power outage caused my HDMI settings to be messed up(orange screen - really weird). Sent an e-mail to Tech Support and got the problem resolved, unplug TV and video source from the wall for 5-10 min to reset it. Color controls in Color Master allow for +/- 30, but using anything more +/- 15 will introduce artifacts into the picture, at 30 the picture will be unwatchable. Other then that not much problems.

Toshiba 55UX600U 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Net TV (Black Gloss)

I recently purchased this tv about 2 weeks ago. my brother in law is always looking on this website for great deals. He recently purchased a small flat screen for his office. He let me know about this deal of the day. I owned a 50 inch Sony Projection TV for about 6 years with no problems. I received the Toshiba about 5 days after ordering it (with a great deal 2 year 0% financing). CEVA dropped the box off in my living room. NOTE: please confirm whether AMAZON comp'd the "White Glove Service". Apparently they did but the 2 guys who delivered it made it seem like I would be charged if I asked for it. so I told them I would open it.The TV comes very well packaged. I opened it out of excitement and noticed a gray blotchy area on top left frame of the tv screen. I immediately told myself it is not acceptable. I called Amazon and they delivered a new one 5 days later through a different shipping company. I then questioned the "white glove service" and they mentioned it should have been complimentary from them due to a big purchase. So don't let the delivery guys go if you want the white glove service. My boyfriend received the second delivery and they denied the white glove service even though I was supposed to receive it. they basically opened up the box (opens from the top like a lid) and that's all they did claiming they are not allowed to do more than that?. not what I expected for white glove. I prefered it that way since I didn't want them to do anything…

VIZIO M550SV 55 Inch Class Edge Lit Razor LED LCD HDTV with VIZIO Internet Apps

Overall I enjoy the Vizio M550SV TV. I bought it at Costco at the end of the model year for $1199. They just now have a coupon deal for $200 off and I went back and got the additional savings. Even though the new models are just about to come out, for just under a grand this TV is a smokin' deal. I added the extended Square Trade warranty for $59.99 and so I have 5 years of total coverage, to boot.Add what I wrote to other owner's comments - basically, it's just a good TV that does what you want it to do. It's not the very best, just the very best for the money. It's also an attractive set without some of the flashy distracting bright silver styling accents that Vizio has used in the past. The reason I'm adding my review to the mix is just to let potential buyers know a couple of things that I've discovered.1.) Updates to firmwareThis is an internet TV. Updates to firmware come through periodically over the internet. This process is automatic. You are notified at power-on when this occurs. You must have the TV connected to the internet to get these updates. You need a wireless or a wired connection. I use a wired connection and have not used the wireless option. Updates to firmware include new VIA apps, functional improvements to the TV itself, as well as updates to the apps.2.) PIPThis is one of the prime reasons I had to buy this TV. It's a hard feature to find nowadays. I think the advent of time-shifting via Tivo devices and their ilk has rendered it less useful for most people,…

Toshiba 55G310U 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, Black

I spent weeks shopping for televisions. I visited many different stores. I had decided on buying a 60" Sharp LED that was priced at $999. I was told it was not in stock. I came back to look again, and was once again disapointed. This Toshiba television also was priced $999. Clearly the Sharp was a better TV for the money. The employee at the store told me they had an open box that didnt fit into the customers living space and would sell it to me for $699. Great deal! I took it home and hooked it up.TO BREAK IT DOWNIf you have $1000 to spend on a TV, there are better options. If you can find a deal on this TV for what I paid, $699, you should buy it.PROS:*Clean Design*Solid Construction*3 HDMI Ports*1 Optical Audio Out*Link system that allows remote control to function on HDMI connected devices (NOT XBOX 360, but works great on my Sony Blue Ray Home Theater)*Flawless 1080p Picture*Very Decent 120Hz*Not a plasma*No nonsense menu navigation*Simple Easy to use remote*Blue Ray disk looks great, Xbox looks great, HD broadcast looks great.CONS:*Any non HD input or standard definition really looks terrible on this large 55" screen. 720p input at minimum is required for a decent picture.*Speakers are weak. Fortunatly you can turn them off, and make the volume from the remote control your home theater volume instead!*Picture angle could be significantly improved. Looks great head on. I do notice fading from the side view though (Deep blacks begin to turn grey).*Initially I had a…

Toshiba 46WX800U 46-Inch 1080p 240 Hz Cinema Series 3D LED TV, Black

It's been awhile since I've used a Toshiba product. My last was an HD-DVD player, which I wasn't overly fond of due to slow load times and a clunky menu interface.I know that they make quality products, but don't have quite the glamor of Sony, Panasonic or Samsung. The TV set itself is gorgeous. The thin bezel and glossy, mirror finish makes for a very modern upscale look, along with its slim form factor. It looks stunning even when off.The picture it produces is equally eye popping. The blacks are dark without being crushing. The backlighting is even throughout with no signs of bleeding, flashlighting, banding- all of which I've experienced in older CFL-lit LCD's (but keep in mind that these issues are specific to each unit, not the model line so YMMV).I found the 240 Hz ClearFrame does generate the so-called "soap opera" effect (though less pronounced than on Samsung's I've watched) which I despise and was happy to find that it can be disabled. The menus are easy to navigate and intuitive. The remote is backlit, and buttons are well spaced, but it does increase the size of the remote a bit.The icing on the cake was the great price and service from Amazon!I do not have any 3D Blu-ray movies at the moment so I cannot comment on that feature as of yet.**Update**After a few more days of usage, I found a negative. Changing channels (over the air antenna) is slower than I would like, even using just the Ch up/down commands. Direct channel inputs (4-1, 2-1, etc.) take a very…
